What is refinishing?
Refinishing refers to the process where the original layer of a material (most commonly wood) along with any stains or sealers are stripped from said material. A new layer of stain and/or sealer is then applied to revitalize the look and better match the desired aesthetic. In the case of objects like showers, refinishing often involves re-coating or reglazing the surface to make it look like new and last longer and restore an older item to its original glory.
